Three IHA students recently participated in the National iDance4aCure Campaign to end childhood cancer. On Saturday, Dec. 19, Carley Ginsburg’17, Madeline Rubio’18, and Sarah McLoughlin’18 joined more than 120 dancers and teachers at Anita Ehrler’s Dance Extensions in Park Ridge, New Jersey for a three-hour dance-a-thon to raise money to fund pediatric cancer research.

Two IHA seniors received special recognition at this year’s Northern New Jersey Regional Scholastic Art and Writing Awards at the Montclair Art Museum.

Immaculate Heart Academy's literary magazine, Orb, recently received the rank of Highest Award in the 2015 National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) Program to Recognize Excellence in Student Literary Magazines (PRESLM).

Students took the top honor for their film ‘Noir Files,’ which won best cinematography.

Elizabeth George'06, daughter of Joanne Mitchell-George’73, married Derek Greenstein on August 8, 2015.

On Wednesday, January 6, a team of nine IHA students competed in the New Jersey Science Olympiad held at Union College in Cranford.

The annual Art Alumnae event was held on January 5, 2016. IHA graduates visited their alma mater to speak about college life and their career ambitions in various art fields.

In early December, the freshman members of the St. Brigid Society visited Liberty Science Center to participate in a captivating Live From Neonatal Surgery program. The group was chaperoned by St. Brigid Society moderator and guidance counselor, Ms. Ellen Donoghue’76, and science teacher, Mrs. Angela Holuba Roberts’05.

Thanks to the efforts of IHA alumna, Elizabeth Columbo'00, Konica Minolta donated a 3-D Systems Cube Pro Printer to IHA. The printer will be utilized by students in our STEM@theheart program, and those in the Applied Engineering and Robotics clubs.

This fall, Immaculate Heart Academy held an official Sports Signing on November 16, 2015 in IHA’s Information Commons.
