The Robotics Team at Immaculate Heart Academy was recently selected as a “top thirty finalist” in the Google Moonbots competition, a Google Lunar XPRIZE® Challenge. IHA’s Team Artemis was selected from a field of more than two hundred and fifty teams, located in twenty-five countries around the globe. As a finalist, the IHA team won a free Vex IQ Clawbot robot that the team members programmed for a chance to be named one of three winners.

Catherine O’Toole’17 and Lauren Foote’17 were named as the 2015 IHA Hugh O’Brian Youth (HOBY) Leadership Seminar representatives.

Immaculate Heart Academy students, Eilis McLaughlin’18 and Maeve Kelly’18, created a series of fun activities for IHA’s inaugural G.E.N.I.U.S. @theheart summer program.

IHA art teachers, Mrs. Lisa Encke and Mrs. Patrizia Proscia, were selected to present at the National Art Educators Association (NAEA) Conference in New Orleans.

Victoria Cali, a member of IHA’s Class of 2015, was accepted as a High Point University Media Fellow. Victoria was one of only sixteen incoming communication students, out of hundreds of applicants, chosen to be a Media Fellow.

Aviana Ingui’16 was asked to sing at the Blue Mass for the New Jersey State Police (NJSP) on May 27, 2015 in Long Valley, New Jersey.

From July 9-12, 2015, John Downey, athletic director and cross country coach, and five IHA student-athletes traveled to Lake Placid, New York to the Life of an Athlete program at the U.S. Olympic Training Center.

This past spring, Gianna Cheeseman, a member IHA’s Class of 2018, achieved the outstanding honor of placing second at the World Irish Dance Championships held in Montreal, Canada.

Sausan Aljarrah'17 and Olivia McMichael'17 are participating in a summer work program conducted by the Archdiocese of Newark’s Office of Youth & Young Adult Ministry. For this specific community service project, they built birdhouses to be displayed at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington. Amazing job, ladies!
