On Tuesday, October 27, 2015, the IHA Robotics Club and moderator, Mrs. Sharon Tassely Mistretta'75, traveled to Sacred Heart School in Jersey City to teach the sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students how to build Vex Robots.

In honor of the Feast of St. Francis, Immaculate Heart Academy’s Go Green Club collected pet items and held a bake sale for the Clifton Animal Shelter. The girls raised about $220 and collected hundreds of shelter necessities including dog and cat food, kitty litter, toys, collars, leashes, harnesses, soap, towels, and pet beds.

To celebrate the International Day of the Girl on October 11, Immaculate Heart’s Culture Club participated in a world-wide movement started by the non-profit, She’s the First. This unique organization “provides scholarships to girls in low-income countries with the goal of creating first-generation graduates and our next generation of global leaders.”

Two Immaculate Heart Academy seniors have been named Commended Students in the 2016 National Merit® Scholarship Program: Melissa Mendizabal’16 and Julie Kim’16.

IHA's fall musical for 2015 is 42nd Street! Often described as the definitive “backstage musical,” 42nd Street brings exciting choreography, memorable show tunes, and classic musical theater drama to the stage.

Immaculate Heart Academy will be hosting an Open House on Thursday, Oct. 29 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. IHA’s Open House is a great opportunity for interested families to learn about our outstanding school, challenging curriculum, and IHA’s artistic, athletic and extracurricular programs.

The IHA Spanish Club, in collaboration with the National Art Honor Society, recently sponsored an exhibit of the work of Pablo Picasso in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.

Immaculate Heart Academy sophomore sensation, Rebecca Jarrett, has verbally committed to the University of Virginia.
