The Memory Project is a charitable nonprofit organization that invites art teachers, art students, and solo artists to help cultivate global kindness by creating portraits for children around the world who have faced substantial challenges such as violence, war, extreme poverty, neglect, and loss of parents. IHA's Advanced Painting and Drawing students created portraits for girls in Afghanistan. Malala Yousafzai, the youngest Nobel Peace Prize winner in history, is working tirelessly to improve the lives of girls. Our students created portraits for girls in programs supported by Malala's network.
On the evening of Dec. 9, 2019, twenty-six of our amazingly talented singers performed on stage at Radio City Music Hall. Under the direction of Mrs. Barbara Donatacci, choral music director and teacher, the IHA students performed a breathtaking rendition of "Mary, Did You Know?" on the Great Stage before the 8 p.m. showing of the Radio City Christmas Spectacular.
Soloists included Jenna Clover’20, Allison Sandt’20, Alyssa Longo’21, Alexis Mason’22, and Laura Rickli’22. Close to one hundred people from Immaculate Heart traveled into New York City that evening to support our girls during the amazing experience and enjoy the rest of the popular Christmas show!

From August 15-17, 2019, IHA will sponsor its first-ever Catholic Women's conference, BELIEVE., which will be held at the Icona Beach Resort in Cape May, NJ.
Applications for BELIEVE. are open to all current freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and any graduating senior Christian Service Board members. The conference will feature a formal sisterhood dinner on the beach, keynotes by Katie Prejean McGrady (Author: Room 24 and Follow, Representative to the College of Cardinals for the Synod on Youth), and Lisa Cotter (Founder: Made to Magnify, Author: The Dating Detox), as well as other break-out sessions.
Participants will enjoy time at the beach and the pool, community gatherings, speakers, and discussions. BELIEVE. is a Gospel-centered personal growth conference, which aims to give IHA's young women space to reflect on who they are; challenge themselves to grow into who they are called to be; and consider what the community of IHA would look like when filled with women who believe in themselves, one another, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Contact Mrs. Sarah Shutrop, Director of Campus Ministry, for more information.
