Mrs. Elizabeth Kearns

Mrs. Elizabeth Kearns is the Mathematics Department chairperson and the senior class moderator at Immaculate Heart Academy. She received B.S. and M.B.A. degrees in math and finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University, in addition to completing more than 120 hours for credit in AP Calculus Workshops at Drew University and Manhattan College. Mrs. Kearns is also the Chapter Sponsor and moderator for IHA's chapter of the National Math Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, and the faculty coach for the annual M3 MathWorks Modeling Challenge.

Mrs. Kearns tutors for the SAT, SAT subject test, ACT, and all levels of high school and college math. She has taught at IHA for more than two decades and has three daughters who are IHA alumnae. Mrs. Kearns said she loves teaching in a school where the development of spirituality is as important as the rigor and academic excellence demanded of both the students and faculty.
