Mrs. Amy Baskin, assistant principal of academics, received a B.A. in secondary education from Ohio University, an M.A. in English from Montclair State University, and administrative certifications through Seton Hall University and NJEXCEL. She worked as a public school educator for over three decades teaching high school English before becoming an administrator. As a K-12 supervisor of instruction in several public districts, Mrs. Baskin oversaw curriculum and instruction for the English and World Language programs as well as the Media Centers.
Mrs. Baskin is an executive board member of the New Jersey Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development and has presented best practices in education at statewide and national conferences. She is also a board member for the ACT State Organizations after serving as the chair for several years. Mrs. Baskin is proud to have been recognized previously by her peers as Teacher of the Year at Waldwick High School.
She has a deep commitment to her Catholic faith having spent many years as a catechist supporting confirmation in the church and is excited to be a part of IHA to help guide and support students to grow both academically and spiritually.
