Mr. Rich Skinner is the director of school safety and operations at Immaculate Heart Academy. Before coming to IHA, Mr. Skinner was the chief of police at the Washington Township Police Department. He also served on the executive board of the Bergen County Police Chiefs Association.
Prior to law enforcement, Mr. Skinner proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He is a former school resource officer and previously taught Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) at Immaculate Heart Academy. As a Police Academy instructor, certified with the Police Training Commission, he has also taught at several academies in the state. Mr. Skinner holds a Master of Administrative Science and a Bachelor of Arts in public administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
He has been the recipient of numerous awards in the law enforcement field, including three CPR life-saving awards, the Knights of Columbus Police Officer of the Year, and the Township of Washington Police Department Meritorious Service Award. Mr. Skinner is excited to join the IHA community and looks forward to sharing his experience with students and staff.
