This is the perfect course for those students who want to get a head start on the school year! This class is taught using a high school algebra book, and is ideal for both the student who loves math and the student who would be happy to never take math again. Students who have taken this course have found that they performed better than they expected in their school’s algebra course. Open to students entering 7th through 9th grades.
Intro to Geometry - $225
July 22-24, 2025 and July 29-31, 2025 (six classes)

This summer course is for those students who want to get a jump start on their geometry, or who are interested in the subject. The class is taught with a high school geometry book, and will benefit the student who loves math and the student who finds math to be a challenge. Students who take this course have an advantage come September. Open to students entering 8th through 10th grades.
Creative Writing - $115
July 8-10, 2025 (three classes)
Tuesday-Thursday: 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
This Creative Writing course allows students to develop skills for different pieces of creative nonfiction and poetry. Students read different examples for inspiration, and work on the genre of their choice. Students receive instruction on the use of figurative language, sensory details, and structural support while working both independently and in small group workshops. Students are given the opportunity to express themselves through memoirs, personal essays, travel or food writing, or different forms of poetry. This writing studio allows students to receive one-on-one feedback from both the instructor and peers, and gives a student autonomy in developing his or her creative voice. Open to students entering 7th through 10th grades.
Essay Writing Bootcamp - $115

Does the thought of writing essays for your English class leave you with a splitting headache or a sense of anxiety? If so, this is the class for you! Over a three-day mini session, this course breaks down the basics of essay writing and helps you hone your writing skills. This course includes tips and tricks for pre-writing and for the actual writing of an academic paper. During the course, students read short stories and examine possible essay topics and responses. Students have the opportunity to draft, write, and edit responses to varying essay topics. Open to students entering 7th through 10th grades.
TV Studio 101 - $115
July 29-31, 2025 (three classes)
Tuesday-Thursday: 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
TV Studio 101 gives students hands-on experience in the TV Studio. Students will learn how to use the different industry standard equipment to create a broadcast news show and produce a live studio demonstration. Students will learn how to write for broadcast news and anchor their own news shows. Students will also learn the different roles in the TV Studio rooms including the control room and the audio room. Students will be responsible for each crew position in the TV Studio along with being on-air talent. Open to incoming 6th graders and up.
