Ms. Ana Echeverría is a Spanish teacher, an AP coordinator, a junior class moderator, and the Europe Trip moderator at Immaculate Heart Academy. She received a B.A. degree in secondary education and Spanish and a B.S. degree in elementary education from St. Thomas Aquinas College. She also received an M.Ed. degree in Spanish literature from Iona College and has 30 credits toward an advanced master's degree in bilingual school psychology from Fordham University.
Ms. Echeverría has taught at IHA since 1991 and is also the mother of an IHA alumna, Class of 2005. She said she made a conscious decision to remain at IHA because of the "academic freedom to really teach." As a product of an all-girls Catholic school, she felt that IHA was and is "the ideal place to guide and watch minds grow and develop."
