Barbara DiCocco Clare’73, Linda Jones Murphy Triolo’73, Joan Donnelly Schneider’73, and Claudia Huggins Tuck’73 have been celebrating their special milestones together since high school.
The group first got together this year at the wedding of Linda Jones Murphy and Joe Triolo on June 14, 2015. Joe and Linda were married in a beautiful ceremony at Saint Peter’s Church in Point Pleasant Beach, with their children as the attendants. A reception was held at The River House in Brielle. Barbara, Joan, and Claudia, along with their husbands, were honored to be included in the celebration.
Then, in August of this year, the four friends joined together to enjoy a 2015 birthday trip. The tradition began decades ago, where the IHA alumnae get together every five years to celebrate their birthdays. The trips have taken them cruising to Mexico, Charleston, the Jersey Shore, and, most recently, Orlando. The Class of 1973 graduates spent five days together, catching up and celebrating another year of friendship with Mickey Mouse and the rest of the Disney cast. They are already planning the next five-year birthday trip!
“Our friendship has survived distance and time—each occasion spent together is like we just saw each other yesterday,” Claudia said. “True bonds of friendship solidified at IHA.”
