The purpose of the $5,000 grant is to support an artist engaged in painting or drawing for up to six months following his or her graduation from an accredited college or art school. As part of the application requirements, Christina will be interviewed by The Fund and create new work to present to the Selection Committee.

Her professors, Elizabeth Mackie and Gregory Thielker, recommended Christina for the grant and provided her with great support and mentorship. She plans to continue pursuing painting and drawing as a means of personal artistic discovery in her practice. Christina presently works at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in Visitor Services.
