IHA Art Teachers Present at NAEA Conference

The NAEA conference, attended annually by over 4,000 art educators from around the world, is an opportunity for art educators to collaborate and network, merging new and innovative ideas in art education. This year’s conference focused on exploring the link between form, function, design, research, and technology in the ever-changing field of art education.

Mrs. Encke and Mrs. Proscia presented “Designing and Art Education Learning Environment," to share how they collaborated with architects and school administrators to create two new art studios for a growing community of student-artists at IHA. They shared their collaborative approach to teaching as well as the challenges and opportunities in creating this new learning environment. Their presentation was very well attended and well received. The Immaculate Heart community is blessed to have such talented and innovative teachers within the art department. Congratulations on a job well done!
