This summer, IHA completed an overhaul of our cafeteria services. After twenty-five years of loyalty and dedication to IHA, Franklin Food Concepts Inc. Services, owned and led by Mrs. Rosemary Brill, has officially closed. We thank Rosemary for her devotion to the IHA community and the delicious breakfasts, lunches, snacks and locker break cookies she and her staff regularly made for the IHA community.

In the 2014-15 school year, IHA will introduce our new cafeteria services: Cater to You Inc.

Cater to You is committed to creating meals on-site, from scratch, using the finest products and a distinctive “farm to school” program. They procure seasonal fruits and vegetables, eggs, dairy products, legumes, and cider from New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania farms.

Additionally, Cater to You offers talented professionals that are continually trained and educated with an emphasis on food, nutrition, allergen awareness, safety, and sanitation. All managers, chefs, and sous chefs are ServSafe® certified by the American National Standards Institute and have successfully completed allergy awareness training through AllerTrain® and ServSafe®.

President of Cater to You Inc., Anthony Trentacosti, said he recognizes IHA’s commitment to relationships that have contributed to the foundation of the school’s success. Cater to You looks forward to being a part of that foundation.

“Integrity and a sense of community, along with our professionalism, have positioned us at the forefront of independent school food service providers,” Anthony said. “I know we share the same interest and passion for providing students quality, nutritious food prepared from scratch and educating them about the importance of knowing where their food comes from.”

With the installation of the new food services and thanks to the generosity of the Walsh Family (Emma’17 and parents, Kristen and Francis), IHA is also renovating the cafeteria and kitchen. New appliances and cookware will be added to the kitchen and the entire cafeteria will be redecorated, updated, and enhanced.
