On December 9, 2024, representatives from VFW Post 6192 awarded Evangeline Budelman '28 the second place award for its 2024-25 VFW Voice of Democracy audio-essay content. This year's contest was themed "Is America Today Our Forefathers' Vision?"

As the second place winner, Evangeline received a monetary award of $300 from VFW Post 6192.
