On March 7, 2024, at 6:45 p.m., IHA will host our annual Art@theheart Exhibition in celebration of sixth and seventh graders’ creativity and artistic talent! This art show and competition will serve as an opportunity for students to participate in a regional exhibition, curated by IHA’s National Art Honor Society, while also offering exposure to Immaculate Heart Academy’s outstanding arts program.
Guidelines and required forms for Art@theheart 2024 Art Teacher Guidelines1. The exhibit is open to boys and girls in grades 6 and 7.
2. All media is welcome, 2-D work only. Please spray fixative on charcoals and pastels.
3. Please no stretched canvases, canvas boards, or wooden frames. We will be unable to hang this artwork, as the display areas are made for lightweight work.
4. Size restrictions of entries are 8"x10," 9"x12," 11"x14," 12"x18," and 18" x 24."
5. There is no need to frame the work! All artwork will be securely matted at Immaculate Heart Academy.
6. Neat, high-quality student work created within the current school year should be submitted.
7. Artwork must be original in thought, design, and execution.
8. Artwork content must be appropriate for the school, community, and for young people.
Artwork with questionable content will not be selected.
9. Please make three copies of the
Student Artwork Permission Form.10. Attach the original Student Artwork Permission Form to the back of the artwork, place one copy in the large envelope provided, and keep one for your records.
