In the winter, National Honor Society (NHS) members met virtually with the St. Brigid Society (SBS) freshmen to help them learn more about NHS at IHA. The upperclassmen explained the criteria for NHS, touched on the four pillars of academics, service, leadership, and character; and what they can do now to make themselves good candidates in two years when they are eligible for consideration. NHS officers shared the importance of being involved at IHA and in their communities. Thank you to SBS moderator, Ms. Ellen Donoghue’76, and NHS moderator, Mrs. Melissa O’Sullivan, for organizing this event.
In March, SBS members were given the opportunity to learn more about certain colleges and universities. Thank you to representatives from Siena College, Bryant University, and Western New England University for meeting virtually with our St. Brigid Society underclassmen!
