On Thursday, Dec. 3, the society convened over Zoom for its monthly membership meeting led by senior co-presidents, Abigail Auty’21 and Freya Nair’21. After discussing plans for upcoming events, an engaging scientific lecture was given by Abigail Auty'21 on solar energy and photovoltaic cells, the urgent need for sustainable energy, and how companies are currently working to develop these technologies. This presentation followed the lecture that Freya Nair'21 gave last month, which explained what pandemics are, how scientists combat them, and the ways in which leaders are presently putting this information into action.
Comprised of eighty juniors and seniors, this year’s chapter is proud to have so many students who have shown dedication to and promise in the field of scientific industry, research, and exploration. No matter the setting, SNHS is grateful to have the support of a community that relentlessly works to celebrate scientific knowledge and stimulate intellectual discussion. We look forward to seeing the great things these young women will accomplish as the academic year progresses!
