The students in this year's Introduction to Engineering Design course, taught by Mrs. Alice Nudelman, recently completed a very creative project using CAD software (Autodesk Fusion 360) to design water bottles.
The constraints were to not only design a container of a certain height and diameter, but also to change the material to stainless steel, change the appearance color, and to add a decal. In addition, all edges had to either be rounded out using a Fillet or curved using a Chamfer. The challenge was to create a hollow straw and place it inside of the water bottle. The students did a fabulous job exploring and applying their 3D design skills!
